Hatshepsut-Pharaonic-dance (58K)
  1. Hatshepsut part 1: dedicated to the greatest female pharaoh that ever lived.
The composition "Hatshepsut" attracted lots of attention when it was first used in a public performance. A publishing contract from Paris, France was offered.
  2. Chalieezji
  3. Hadari
  4. Snake dance: one of the first experimental bellydance pieces ever recorded, featuring slide guitar of Abdel Hazim.
The snake was a sacred symbol in ancient Egypt. Snakes protected against famine because they kept the rodent population, mices and rats down and reduced as such also the spread of diseases. So Kings wearing an ureaus (cobra) on the crown symbolised the power to protect their people against famine and diseases. Using snake-arms in oriental dance was a reference to this aspect.

  6. Derboukka solo (used in the movie Isle of succession)
  7. Ayoubi (zaar dance)
